Around 1540, Emperor Karl V. put in charge the cartographer Gerard Mercator to create a drawing of a new map collection. Karl V wanted to have the Holy German Empire as well as the World, shown as it was known in this time.
ANTICA released those old maps (The World, Europe, Germania, all around 1600), printed on artificially aged parchment paper.
ANTICA maps are available rolled in elegant, high-quality antique tubes.
